Lesson 11: Every Ending is New Beginning

This is my final class in Making Media Course, in my imagination, it will be a summary of the total course, we will discuss what we have been through and it will not contain any new lessons. However, I did not expect that our tutor utilized Doctor Strange as a role model to teach us about the journey of how an amateur learner could become a master.

When you think about a hero movie, what messages that usually are delivered? Only the special people who own innate power can become a hero? Or the hero always represents the all-round winner? Due to that judgment, I am not a big fan of this movie genre and this lesson had slightly shifted my perception to a positive side. Therefore, I started to think that even a superman still has some real aspects. They also have to work with their limitations, just like the way we approached new software apps for the first time. But the key things that turn Doctor Strange into a powerful person is can understand how little he knows and maintain the persistent in learning. Then, I understood that we just finished the first semester at the university and being a lifelong learner, we have to think for the long term, learn from my own failure and improve my self day by day.

P/s: Yeah, in fact, it does not sound easy for me, but I think that always better to try to overcome your own barriers.
